My Secondary Skills

In more than a decade I have worn a number of hats and developed a very large toolbox of skills, across both the front end and back end. In addition to my primary skills listed on the home page I am also extremely competent in the following:

Extensive experience with cross-browser testing across a huge amount of devices and solving complicated browser issues.

Strong understanding of HTML 5 - I use the full range of available elements in HTML5 to create HTML documents that are rich in semantic meaning. This makes my pages more machine readable, easier to maintain and better for search engines.

Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for the preparation, optimization or creation of web graphics.

Extensive experience building WordPress sites including including both theme development as well as development of plugins for the platform. I've built numerous e-commerce sites using WooCommerce as well.

PHP. I'm not an expert but I am experienced enough to create my own Wordpress themes, communicate with databases and build dynamic pages with it.

Experienced using visualization libraries such as D3 to create impressive graphical representations of data.
